Organic Forms

This series is a celebration of the beauty of plants and vegetables: the vibrant and living but also those in decay and in the case of the lotus pond in winter, the sublime quality of death. In a way they are portraits of vegetation in different stages of their life cycles. The series is printed in rich sepia tones on a slightly creamy, matte, bamboo paper. The images are shown with a white background to give some idea of the finished prints. For more about my approach to organic forms and photography in general, click on the word link.
