Taken along the coast of North Cornwall, these images became an exploration of the effect of weathering and waves on the ancient, composite rocks there.

Details observed at close range offer wonderful varieties of patterns and textures, some of which are illustrated here. Several visits have been necessary to experiment with film formats, filters and lighting conditions to optimise these images.
